Installation Guide for TOPSFLO Car Preheater Water Pump

To install the pump, position it between the engine’s outlet and the heat exchanger of the interior heater. The water flow should follow this sequence:

• Water outlet of the engine → Inlet of the preheater water pump
• Outlet of the preheater water pump → Cooling water inlet of the preheater (marked “IN”)
• Cooling water outlet of the preheater (marked “OUT”) → Interior heater heat exchanger.

Ensure that the Cold start water pump is installed lower than the preheater.

• Secure the water pipe joints with the provided pipe clamps.
• Do not extend the wiring harness. The specified distance between the pump and the engine is critical to avoid malfunctioning.
• Pay attention to the antifreeze during installation. Supplement the system with antifreeze of the same specification, and ensure the engine is run for a while to reach the required coolant level.

Special Installation Note:

If air needs to be purged from the pump each time it starts, install the pump as shown in the figure below to assist with air removal and reduce noise during startup. If no purging is required, the pump can be installed in any position.
